Loggerhead Sea Turtle Turtle Tracks

In this case the Loggerhead sea turtle tracks (the "crawl") measure 39 inches wide. Can you tell which way she came in and went out?

Laguna Key Team, 1st Loggerhead Sea Turtle Nest of the Season!

Jan Taylor found the first nest of the 2010 Season! This was also the first nest to be discovered all along the Alabama Gulf Coast.  Mama Turtle made 2 sets of tracks but the second site, found by Ken Taylor was a "false crawl".  Nest  B-1 can be followed at alabamaseaturtles.com  This nest was adopted on the spot by the Johnny & Janet Cox and Family. Thank you Cox Family!

The small brownish bits scattered in the wrack line are tar patties...(my term) something between oil and tar balls.
